Mr Piggyton’s Grand Birthday Trip

Mrs Piggy had really gone to town with this one!

First, we headed to Hsinchu to stay at the CD Motel in some themed rooms (first night was a merry go round, next the Tetris room!)

Then we had an excursion to the Liufucun Village Theme Park on my actual birthday which was AWESOME.

Next day, visiting the port and staying WeGo – then next day, another port visit, some crazy cycling – then home.

Best. Birthday. Ever 🙂

Grand Palace and Ding Dong!

A mix of a day out here!

Morning trip far away from the smog of central Taipei to see the Grand Palace and breath in the crisp, crisp air.

Then back after to Songshan Cultural Village to see Doraemon throughout the years.

A shame his door didn’t really work….!

Dinner at Ed’s Diner then a trip in the Wheel

Ed’s Diner – the nicest pulled pork in Taipei, followed by a relaxing ride around the Neihu Wheel.

Then – a night in WeGo … but there won’t be any photo of that!

😉

Taiwan Rally Championship

Woo – going to a far, far away place to hopefully watch some rally cars.

Yes, we should have probably organised a bit better, but the hotel we stayed in was awesome – even if it was kinda expensive!

And then on the day – awesome cars and a hot, hot girl – of course it was Mrs Piggyton!

Kanchanaburi 2012

Trains, rivers and rain. But, an awesome swimming pool at the hotel – so peaceful!

Can’t forget the super evil fish at the waterfall – Rob, they were HORRIBLE! How can you make us try and stand in them?!?!

This place was extra special, as I hadn’t been there before 🙂

Hap Hap 😉

Phuket 2012

The first stop on our first foreign trip away, the beachside wonderland of Phuket.

We were lucky that the weather was so nice, sun sun sun! And beach, sea, beach, sea!

Luckily we had a bike, so we got to travel all around the island – that how we got to the sunset point 🙂

Our First Trip Away

A long time ago, but right near the beginning!

Our first proper trip was to Yilan where we spent one night drinking in the park, then the next day exploring the countryside 🙂

See how young we look!

Taipei Zoo

Sadly no capybara and the beavers didn’t come out, but still a nice day.

We started with lunch at the McDonalds inside!

Then after we’d seen all the animals, we headed to the top of the mountain for tea 🙂

Pingxi Lantern Festival

Both of our first times to Pingxi – it was amazing.

We both wrote our balloons, and, maybe we did just mean the words for each other.

Highlight of the night was when the lantern we had was overfilled with lighter fluid and started dropping on the people below as it took off!!
