Back in the early days when Mr Piggyton was actually a good Chinese student, language exchanges were an often used method for him to practise. Whilst looking for a new possibility one day on the Worldfriends website, he spotted Mrs Piggyton’s profile, thought it sounded interesting, so decided to drop her a mail – the exchange went like this….

MSN: [email protected] I’m live in the dorms by myself, near my school . What’s your major?
only come to learn Chinese?
NTU is a beautiful school.
You are so lucky =) It rains all day :((
As you can guess, things now moved over to MSN chat where they chatted and chatted until it was time to actually meet up for the first practise session which happened on Monday 12/12/2011.
We can both remember it well, Mr Piggyton turned up at Ximen on his scooter, but didn’t know where to park – Mrs Piggyton came over and said hello, then offered to drive and park this bike. So they swapped over and she drove off with it. From this moment forward, she would always been known as Mr Piggyton’s parker 🙂 haha
Of course, she did come back and they went off to a nearby coffee shop where lots of talking ensued (including a large amount about CNN) and whilst they sat opposite, Mr Piggyton started to realise he really liked this girl…..
As soon as they got home, they were back on MSN and then arranged to go and watch the new Mission Impossible movie on the Thursday (15th) at the Breeze Center.
It’s funny though, as if you ask each of them, they will give different opinions, but for this night Mr Piggyton takes over:
I’d wanted to look good for her, so instead of going on my scooter, I decided to wax my hair and take a cab. Unfortunately, I didn’t realise how bad the traffic would be, so by the time I go there, I was 30 minutes late! Did feel quite guilty! During the movie, every time there was something funny, she would turn around and touch my arm – it made me feel really warm inside, kk. I knew I liked her a lot now….. After the movie we went for dinner at Fridays, I didn’t want it to end really – but of course, she had to go home. One funny thing, my credit card was refused, luckily I had cash or it would have been even more embarrassing! The next day at school, I remember telling Mr Sendou that I had broken my first rule of language exchanges. I always used to tell him off as he would only LE with cute girls – I would say LE is about learning, not about how hot the girl is – yet – I knew already that I was falling in love with Mrs Piggyton…
